The First Rule of Fight Club – It Always Looks Better on Blu-ray!

Fight Club Blu-ray Had it not been for 2008’s The Dark Knight I would be passed out right now from the news of the OFFICAL Fight Club Blu-ray announcement.  Up until July 2008, Fight Club has always been my #1 go to movie for all my needs.  For some people this film is more than a movie, its a way of life.  For all us 30-somethings, this movie opened up our minds to all the things we were missing out or neglecting in life.  You really don’t get the message after one viewing.  This film is like a doctrine that’s need to be studied.  When I first saw it back in 1999 I thought it was horrible.  Ironically, for the next week or so after I found myself thinking about the film increasingly often and all the little pieces of the puzzle that started to suddenly make sense like an apparition appearing before me that was there this whole time.  Finally, I had to run out and buy it (on DVD of course).  I think I watched it like 7 times that first weekend.  This movie changed my life.  It did not break me of my insecurities, but it taught me valuable lessons about money, possessions and materialism.  If you have never seen Fight Club, you owe it to yourself to watch it once, devote some time to think about it and then watch it a week later.  This is your mission should you choose to accept.
