The Seasoning House Comes to Blu-ray December 10!

Seasoning-HouseI don’t know much about The Seasoning House.  It appears to be a revenge movie in the setting of a military run brothel.  It’s got Anna Walton who played Princess Nuala in Hellboy II in it.  It also stars the son of the third Doctor Who.  And finally the director is an acclaimed prosthetic effects artist known for his work on last year’s hit The Woman In Black.  Aside from these small details and the little synopsis, I’ll be going in blind.  And I always find that to be a good thing.  Its fun in this era of having spoilers everywhere and overdone marketing to be able to sit and watch a film with completely fresh eyes.  It harkens back to days of VHS rental stores where you rented something based soley upon the genre and the cool box are it displayed.  If you’d like to preorder this title, please use the link below.  The more detailed words on this release from Well Go USA follow the jump.

“Hyett’s direction is measured, confident, and darkly poetic throughout, weaving an emotional web of tenderness amidst hopelessness and abuse. The cast are stellar …” – DREAD CENTRAL

“Aggressively entertaining, a stark and ferocious new revenge thriller, both unflinching and compelling.” – Scott Weinberg, FEARnet

“… it’s stylistically bold and brutally compelling..” – Owen Williams, EMPIREONLINE.COM

PLANO, TEXAS.  (October 1, 2013) – Acclaimed prosthetic effects designer Paul Hyett (The Woman in Black, Unknown) makes his directorial debut with the harrowing horror revenge thriller THE SEASONING HOUSE, debuting on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD December 10th from Well Go USA Entertainment.  The chilling film stars Rosie Day (Sixteen), Sean Pertwee (Event Horizon), Kevin Howarth (Gallowwalkers, The Last Horror Movie) and Anna Walton (Hellboy II: The Golden Army).   In THE SEASONING HOUSE, young girls are prostituted to the military and an orphaned deaf mute (Day) is enslaved to care for them. She moves between the walls and crawlspaces, showing a little kindness when she can. When fate brings the men that murdered her family and the reason she ended up in the whore house, a chain of events begins that will end her captivity, free the girls still alive in the house and grant her revenge on the soldiers that destroyed her life.  Bonus materials include “The Making of The Seasoning House” featurette.

Deaf and mute Angel (Rosie Day) is abducted and ditched in a grim Balkan brothel. The ex-soldier who runs the place, Viktor (Kevin Howarth), puts her to work tending to the other women, but when she sparks a friendship with one of the women, things take a turn for the violent.

THE SEASONING HOUSE has a runtime of approximately 89 minutes and is not rated.

I do consider all of the ideas you’ve introduced
for your post. They are very convincing and will definitely work.

Nonetheless, the posts are very brief for novices.
May you please extend them a little from next time?
    Thank you for the post.

What more are you looking for me to extend? This is a press release for a film (which I’ve admitted I’ve not seen) provided to me from the distributor. I don’t understand what more I can give. I can only supply you with what they give me.
