When It Comes to Blu-ray…Just Go With It!

Sometime’s a guy’s best “wingman” is a “wingwoman.”  Makes sense, right?  Or does it?  Well anyway, here’s the dealio.  This is hot off the press.  Sony Picture Home Entertainment has just announced a June 7th Blu-ray release date for their comedy of the year, Just Go With It.  Now I missed this in the theaters, but I’ll admit, I’m looking forward to catching it on Blu-ray this time around and so should you.  Why?  Why not!  Just Go With It features an all-star cast of Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, Nick Swardson, Brooklyn Decker and heck, even Dave Matthews.  The Blu-ray’s special features include blooper reels, deleted scenes and multiple behind-the-scenes featurettes.  How can you go wrong?  Check out the full press release below from Sony and find out what you’ve been missing.

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (April 11, 2011) – Adam Sandler (ClickGrown Ups) and Jennifer Aniston (The Switch, The Bounty Hunter, TV’s “Friends”) lead an all-star cast in the charming romantic comedy Just Go With It, coming to Blu-rayTM Combo Pack, single disc Blu-ray and DVD June 7 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. After telling his girlfriend that he’s married as a means of avoiding real commitment, a plastic surgeon (Sandler) must recruit a fake family to prove his honesty. Just Go With It also stars Nick Swardson (You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, TV’s “Reno 911!”), international supermodel Brooklyn Decker (upcoming Battleship) and Dave Matthews (You Don’t Mess With the Zohan).

The bonus features on the DVD include deleted scenes, a blooper reel, three behind-the-scenes featurettes as well as two commentary tracks.  The Blu-ray disc contains everything included on the DVD, plus 11 minutes of additional deleted scenes, nine featurettes and movieIQ+sync.  The numerous behind-the-scenes featurettes, include “Look Who Else is in the Movie,” a look at some of the star cameos in the film, including sports announcer Dan Patrick, Rachel Dratch (TV’s “Saturday Night Live”), Heidi Montag (TV’s “The Hills”) and Kevin Nealon (TV’s “Saturday Night Live”). The Blu-ray Combo Pack includes all the added value from the single DVD and Blu-ray versions.


Synopsis:

In Just Go With It, a plastic surgeon (Adam Sandler), romancing a much younger schoolteacher (Brooklyn Decker), enlists his loyal assistant (Jennifer Aniston) to pretend to be his soon to be ex-wife, in order to cover up a careless lie. When more lies backfire, the assistant’s kids become involved, and everyone heads off for a weekend in Hawaii that will change all their lives.

Directed by Dennis Dugan (Grown Ups, Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore), Just Go With It was written by Allan Loeb (The Dilemma, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, 21) and Timothy Dowling (Role Models) based on Cactus Flower by I.A.L. Diamond. Adam Sandler also produced with Jack Giarraputo (Paul Blart, Bedtime Stories) and Heather Parry (The House Bunny).  Barry Bernardi (You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Click), Tim Herlihy (Click, The Longest Yard), Allen Covert (The Longest Yard, Anger Management) and Steve Koren (Click, Bruce Almighty) served as executive producers.
