Don’t Judge Until You See The Lincoln Lawyer on Blu-ray

Here’s a film I don’t know much about other than the fact that I thought its trailer looked good and I was upset that I was away on a business trip when I had a chance to attend the press screening for it.  So I guess it’s redemption day when the movie of the moment hits the Blu-ray format on July 12th.  The movie I am talking about, of course, is the Matthew McConaughey law thriller, The Lincoln Lawyer.  I don’t know how many countless times my father has asked me if I saw this one yet.  I guess come this July I will finally have a “yes” answer for him.  Check out the full press release below from Lionsgate and pre-order yours now!

The critically acclaimed thriller with a powerhouse cast debuts for home audiences as Lionsgate delivers The Lincoln Lawyer on Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy), DVD, Digital Download and On Demand this July.  Based on the bestselling novel by Michael Connelly, Matthew McConaughey “gives his best performance in years” (Rolling Stone) as Mick Haller, a charismatic attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln Continental.  The must-watch crime thriller also features a stellar supporting cast including Oscar® winner Marisa Tomei* and Oscar® nominee William H. Macy**, as well as Ryan Phillippe (Crash), Josh Lucas (Life as We Know It) and two-time Emmy®winner Bryan Cranston***.  Hailed as “Intense and intelligent!” (CBS News Radio)The Lincoln Lawyer Bllu-ray Combo pack and DVD bonus materials include three featurettes plus deleted scenes.

Having spent most of his career defending gutter-variety criminals, attorney Mick Haller (McConaughey) takes on a case that could land him a real office, instead of running his practice out of his old Lincoln.  Haller reaches a crisis of conscious, though, while working on the defense of Beverly Hills playboy Louis Roulet (Phillippe).  Roulet is charged with attempted murder and what appears to be a straightforward case with a big payoff escalates into a deadly match between two masters of manipulation.

It has to be good. It’s Matthew McConaughey!

Brian, that’s not always a good thing especially when he does those lame “paycheck” chick flicks. *barf*

He needs to do more stuff like Reign of Fire!

  4. Brian White

That was a joke. Take it easy. Hater 🙂

I have seen quite the number of bad Matthew McConaughey films already.

  5. El Bicho

It’s a well written legal thriller

  6. Aaron Neuwirth

    It was an entertaining flick.

I wish Reign of Fire delivered, but McCaunaghey had fun in that flick.

I liked this one. Not the best of the tear, but entertaining.
