Night Shyamalan has your attention, and most of all, your curiosity. Remember, that’s what killed the cat so tread carefully here. However, don’t fret! Let me be your guide. Take this plunge with me. Here goes nothing! Off to grandma’s house we go! Continue reading ‘Drop Some Dope Rhymes And Make ‘The Visit’ To Grandma’s (Movie Review)’

One of the most talked-about films of the 2011 Fantasia Film Festival, Raffaele Picchio’s MORITURIS quickly became controversial for its scenes of extreme horror, which got the film banned in in its home country of Italy. But over the years its reputation has grown into that of a new Italian horror classic, reminiscent of the works of Lamberto Bava (DEMONS) and Lucio Fulci (ZOMBIE). Now, American audiences can see it for themselves in eye-popping High Definition from Synapse Films! An interesting mix of old school 1980s Italian horror, with a touch of the brutality of Wes Craven’s THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, MORITURIS is an unflinching, strong, cruel and extremely violent film featuring gruesome effects from Italian SPFX maestro, Sergio Stivaletti (DEMONS, DEMONS 2, DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE, Dario Argento’s OPERA). There was a lot of good reason to be excited about the first season of Gotham. The show is a crime-drama developed by Rome’s Bruno Heller, based on characters appearing in and published by DC Comics from the Batman universe. All of that was certainly enough to get this Batman fan excited and the mix of actor choices I was confident in and new faces that seemed to be representing the show proper, there was enough reason to want to check out a show like this. Whether or not it delivered is what we are here for now, so check out the official review of the first season of the hit series and what this Blu-ray set has to offer.

Furious 7 is the little engine that could in my opinion. Not even the untimely and tragic death of one of the franchise’s main stars, Paul Walker, was able to completely derail this speeding train from moving forward and becoming an unstoppable global phenomenon grossing over $1.5 billion dollars worldwide at the box office. Make no doubt about it. The Fast and the Furious franchise has been quite the global exploit in the past two entries, but the nagging question still remained for me going into this last April. Does the seemingly unstoppable train ride lose any speed or momentum with James Wan helming the project and the loss of Walker, or does it continue on in the quick, speedy and high-octane fashion we’re all accustomed to? These questions and many more will be addressed down below. So men, women and children, I need to ask you to buckle your seat belts please, put all your appendages inside the car and enjoy the ride as it’s about to get very fast and furious in this post. Vroom! Continue reading ‘Furious 7: Extended Edition (Blu-ray Review)’
