Again? Again! …AND Again! The shocking series conclusion last week was just the beginning. Fox presents Prison Break: The Final Break, featuring a never-before-seen 2 hour special event. The last sentence is delivered exclusively on Blu-ray and DVD July 21st. It looks like this time Scofield will be breaking out his beloved Sara. Can he do it AGAIN? This may be good news or bad news depending on your taste of movies. I, personally, found three titles here that I will definitely be picking up. Warner/New Line ahs announced 10 catalog titles coming to the Blu-ray format on September 8th. You have to question the choices of some of these titles, but nonetheless fans will be estactic to have some of these on Blu-ray. So here we go! Coming from Warner are Catwoman, Creepshow, Dead Calm, Over The Top, The Postman and Sphere. new Line will be bringing us Fredy vs. Jason, The New World: Extended Cut and everyone’s favorite…Snakes on a Plane. Eliza Dushku stars in Joss Whedon’s new fantasy drama, Dollhouse, arriving on Blu-ray July 28th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Steve Martin reprises his role as the hilarious Inspector Jacques Clouseau in The Pink Panther 2. The family comedy lands on Blu-ray disc this June with all new bonus materials and a digital copy to kick around. MGM Home Entertainment has set a June 23rd release date for Inspector Clouseau’s latest case of mishaps, trials and errors. The Blu-ray also contains a showcase of 27 Pink Panther cartoons. If you are like myself and did not get a chance to see The Unbornin the theatres, then I would expect you could be pretty excited by the following in the Hi-Def community. Universal Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced a July 7th Blu-ray release date for their newest horror movie, The Unborn. The film will be presented in both its theatrical and unrated versions on a BD-50 disc with the usual 1080P specs seeing a VC-1 video encode and a 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The audio cut of choice will be a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio surround track. Extras confirmed thus far include a hand full of BD-Live features as well as deleted scenes. I know a lot of hi-def comic fans are excited for this upcoming release so I will skip all my usual B.S. statements and get right to the point. Warner Bros. has provided final specs for their upcoming DC Comic Blu-ray release, Green Lantern: First Flight, debuting direct-to-video on July 25th. This highly anticipated Blu-ray release will be receiving a BD-50 dual-layer treatment, with 1080P VC-1 video, a 1.78:1 aspect ratio and a rocking Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround audio track. Oh goodie gum drops…more news from my favorite movie studio of them all…Lionsgate! This time around I am happy to report a release date of July 14th for the Blu-ray release of Mad Men: Season Two. The critically acclaimed AMC TV series starts back up again this summer to coincide with the release date previously mentioned. The Mad Men: Season Two Blu-ray set features all 13 original episodes from the second season and is loaded with features like commentaries and various featurettes examining the era in which the show takes places…um…the 1960s, but of course. Warner Home Video has officially announced the Blu-ray box set titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Film Collection. This 4-disc Blu-ray set will hit retail shelves on August 4th and includes all four films including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Secret of the Ooze, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Turtles in Time, and TMNT. Each BD-25 disc should include the usual Warner 1080P VC-1 and Dolby TrueHD treatment. Bonus collector’s items included in the set are a comic book, a scetch with Peter Laird’s autograph, a radical beanie hat and 8 TMNT character cards.

Discovery Channel is bringing their smash hit Shark Week to the Blu-ray format. The collection will debut this July in a compilation set titled Great Bites Collection. Shark Week: Great Bites Collection dives onto the Blu-ray format July 14th and will feature the compilation of the best moments from the popular Discovery Channel show. Fans of the popular series will see a 356-minute program spread over 2 Blu-ray discs.
