Slumming it on Blu-ray…

Excuse me but I am a little biased regarding this title since my favorite movie of 2008, The Dark Knight, was shunned from the Oscar it deserved.  So it really comes as no surprised that the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire is being rushed to the Blu-ray format to obviously cash in on its recent award success.  Fox has announced a March 31st Blu-ray release date for their Academy Award-winning film.  Fans will be treated to a 1080P AVC MPEG-4 video presentation and a 5.1 DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio track.

Extras include a pair of audio commentaries (with director Danny Boyle and actor Dev Patel, and a second with producer Christian Colson and screenwriter Simon Beaufoy), three featurettes (“Slumdog Dreams: Danny Boyle & The Making of Slumdog Millionaire,” “From Script To Screen: Toilet Scene,” “Slumdog Cutdown”), deleted scenes, a music video, and the Indian short film “Manjha.” (information courtesy of www.highdefdigest.com)

A second DVD disc will be included for use as a portable digital copy of the film playable on PCs, the PSP and iTunes.
