The Daily Blu…August 7, 2009

Sorry for getting this posted so late.  I just got back from a DLP showing of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.  I’ll have more about that later!  In late breaking Blu-ray news Warner announced they will bring the HBO mini-series Rome: The Complete Series to Blu-ray on November 17th.  The Blu-ray set will span across 10 Blu-ray discs and will feature 1080P video and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio surround sound.  Warner also announced that the upcoming Blu-ray Digibook of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory will be released on October 6th instead of October 20th.  Walt Disney dropped a bombshell today when they announced that both Pixar’s Up and Monster’s Inc. will be released on Blu-ray November 10th.  Both titles will feature AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks.  Good old boys Sony announced that the Blu-ray release dates of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Wolf have been pushed up to an October 6th date.  That’s it for today.  Enjoy your weekend!  Go out there and see G.I. Joe.  Yo Joe!

Some of my favorite films include FIGHT CLUB, MOULIN ROUGE, THE DARK KNIGHT, STAR WARS alongside television shows such as SEINFELD, 24, SANFORD & SON and even the often loathed in the geek community BIG BANG THEORY. Outside of my three lives I live I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our three girls (of the furry kind).
