Gran Turismo Revs A Solid Underdog Story (Movie Review)
Gran Turismo is a video game franchise of which I have owned every title of on every Sony gaming console. That also includes the VR and the portable handheld editions. To say I am a fan of the Gran Turismo franchise is like saying cows love grazing on grass. They live for it and so YES I’m a huge fan! I have fond memories of building out my Mitsubishi Eclipses on the earlier Sony Playstation consoles. Awww…the good ole days. However, let’s be honest with ourselves. Gran Turismo isn’t just a game. Oh no! It’s a full blown racing simulator. And let me be the first to tell you or maybe the second or third depending on how many reviews you have read thus far. The Walt Disney Company today announced a number of popular series from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm will be available on Collector’s Edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray for fans to add to their movie collections, featuring Steelbook packaging, concept art cards and some never-before-seen bonus features. The titles and dates announced are: Marvel Studios’ Loki: The Complete First Season: September 26, 2023, Marvel Studios’ WandaVision: The Complete Series: November 28, 2023, Star Wars The Mandalorian: The Complete First Season: December 12, 2023, Star Wars The Mandalorian: The Complete Second Season: December 12, 2023 All four titles will be available to pre-order from August 28. Each title will be available nationally on Blu-ray Steelbook with cohesive and collectible brand-new box art designed by popular artist 
The chilling prequel to the critically-acclaimed Predator films, 20th Century Studios’ Prey, arrives on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 3. This year of Warner Bros celebrated 100 years with some great debuts on 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray hits some peak excitement this month as Bruce Lee’s opus Enter The Dragon arrives on August 8th. The film itself is half of Warner Bros’ age, turning 50 this year. The film will feature a Dolby Atmos track addition, but only carry over the Linda Lee Cadwell introduction and Paul Heller and Michael Allin commentary. Since there is not a companion standard Blu-ray (only a digital code), the featurettes are not here. Holding onto an old disc aside, this is a very exciting movie to be making the jump. As part of the year-long centennial celebration for the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros. Paramount looks as if its beginning to start cranking out those John Hughes classics they have for the 4K format. Last November they popped out Planes, Trains and Automobiles on 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray. Now, its time for Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Loaded with a new Atmos track and porting over extras, this should be a nice improvement over the previous Blu-ray which is 14 years old now.
