‘Muppets Most Wanted’ Proves A Worthy “Sequel” (Movie Review)
I really did not know what to expect with this one having not seen anything Muppets on television or in the movies since my childhood. I’m not entirely sure why I went that long with a Muppet-like drought, but nevertheless I did. However, much to my surprise, Muppets Most Wanted was like a family reunion for me. You know how you can let years past and not see extended family, but just pick things right up like nothing ever happened upon reunion? Well, it’s simply like that. It felt good! As Muppets Most Wanted unfolded on the screen, I remembered all those characters like a book unravelling one is reading for the second time. Talk about a blast from the past! You can add wrinkles to my face, pepper my hair gray and pile me under tons of non-fun adult debt, but you can’t take away that geeky kid in me no matter how hard you try (the PlayStation 4 is evidence of that). And best of all, Muppets Most Wanted, like the television show of my childhood, scores lots and lots of superstar cameos. I like that! So come on! So, St. Patrick’s Day was on Monday and its come and gone. But my wishlist posts on Thursday, so in belated St. Patty’s day fashion, my choice coincides with the holiday. Plus, my pick this week always goes down so much better with a pint by your side as you watch.
In anticipation of the April 1st release of Disney’s The Pirate Fairy on Blu-ray Combo Pack we’re excited to share a new featurette exploring the legacy of Neverland in the film. Just in time for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, here we have an animated Avengers adventure coming right at our Blu-ray players. What’s funny is that this is being put out by Sony. So, while they are targeting this release to closely coincide with The Winter Soldier, you’ll find no trailer or other promotional material for the upcoming Marvel film anywhere on this disc (Captain America doesn’t even show up in this film, but Black Widow and Nick Fury who are also in The Winter Soldier are here). Staying in tune with all the more adult-aimed Marvel animations that have appeared on networks like the now defunct G4, this is done Anime-style. 
Time is winding down before we all finally get to see The Winter Soldier. They had a premiere in Paris on Monday, and here’s some pics from the event for your afternoon viewing pleasure. The film premiered at Le Grand Rex Cinema where Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, and directors Anthony & Joe Russo introduced the screening. The film comes out April 4th, which I’m sure you already have circled on your calendar!

In celebration of today’s release of Disney’s Frozen on Blu-ray Combo Pack please see the below video of the filmmakers visiting the Hotel de Glace in Quebec City! The ice hotel served as inspiration for Elsa’s ice palace, and this year featured a Frozen family activity cave and a room modeled after Anna and Elsa’s bedroom. Wes Anderson is a creature of habit. He has developed a uniqueness that has such a look, feel and sound to his films that they have become a genre themselves. You know you’ve really made it when Saturday Night Live makes a mockery of you and most recently, SNL took Wes Anderson on and produced a skit that summed up every Wes Anderson cliché to perfection. The Grand Budapest Hotel is no exception and follows suit as it uses the same bright color schemes, camera shots, and cast. 
The coming summer months bring with them the welcome heat wave to kick it at the pool each and every day or if you are our own Aaron Neuwirth, the ability to dive from your own roof into the pool and oh yeah…the reason we are all here today…HBO’s steamy hit series True Blood. Following telepath Sookie Stackhouse and her roving troupe of vampire, werewolf, faerie (and the occasional human) friends and sometime foes as they navigate the seedy supernatural underbelly of Bon Temps, Louisiana, this sexy, scary, wildly entertaining series has been heating up HBO’s summer line up for six years. Six years! Can you believe it? It seems like only yesterday when I got Season 1 for my birthday to check out blindly. But all good things must come to an end I guess, huh? Boo! So check out the full press release below from HBO and prepare…unfortunately the end is coming. To me, True Blood will always have the best introduction theme song. Ain’t nothing but a twang thang down in the bayou baby! 
Remember that Jack Ryan reboot that came out earlier in the year? Well, its coming to Blu-ray this summer. Its was met with a yawn by critics, but I’m still interested to see it. Today, Paramount has unveiled the release date and extras that will be coming with the Blu-ray. Also, today is the day you Jack Ryan fans can pre-order to make sure your collection is complete come June. Action icon of the 80s and 90s, Jean-Claude Van Damme take his first roundhouse kick at comedy in Universal’s Welcome To The Jungle. The film also stars Adam Brody, Rob Huebel, Megan Boone and Dennish Haysbert. This film debuted at the Newport Beach Film Festival last year and has been currently making a limited theatrical run and been available via Video OnDemand for the last month. It’s coming to Blu-ray very soon, and I’ve got your review covered right here. Owner of Why So Blu?, Brian White is a big JCVD fan, so I hope he finds I honor the man appropriately with this review. And, noteworthy, this is the site’s 2nd JCVD movie review in the last month.
