Lie To Me On Blu-ray

Ever since seeing Academy Award Nominee Tim Roth in The Incredible Hulk, I always wanted to see him in a different role.  When commercials aired of his new television series I always wanted to check it out, but unfortunately I did not.  Well, as luck will have it, I will be able to relive the first season of Lie To Me on the Blu-ray format.  Season one of the hit series arrives on Blu-ray disc August 25th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.  I cannot tell a lie, I am looking forward to it!  Check out the full press release from 20th Century Fox below. This Is Spinal Tap Blu-ray Style!

Requiem for a Blu-ray Dream

Crank 2 High Volatge Blu-ray Octane

Wow!  What a great day for Blu-ray fans to rejoice.  One of my favorite Blu-ray movies of all time, Crank, will see its inevitable sequel arrive on the Blu-ray format this September.  One word describes this sequel…ENERGETIC!  Lionsgate is proud to announce the high energy octane sequel, Crank 2 High Voltage, is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on September 8th.  Oh did I say DVD?  That must have slipped.  If you don’t watch this all digital feature film on Blu-ray, then that should be considered a sin.  This is a must own, much like its predecessor.  Check out the full pre-release article from Lionsgate below. Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds: Live at Radio City Music Hall

Calling all you Dave Matthew fans…are you out there?  Check out our fellow staffer Gregg Senko’s review of the Blu-ray release Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds: Live at Radio City Music Hall over at Into The Blu.  Gregg gives the disc some high scores so you know it has got to be good.  Of course, with all concert films, being a fan of the artist only makes it better.  I was doing some poking around and this title can be had for a very good price on Amazon so check it out today…and don’t forget about Gregg’s review either.  Read all about it by clicking here.

Blu-ray’s Fast & Furious

Welcome to Thursday’s latest Blu-ray news.  Today we will take a closer look at the latest addition to The Fast and the Furious movie franchise.  As you probably already know, the Fast & Furious Blu-ray has already been slated for a July 28th release date.  Now Universal Studios Home Entertainment is back with some exciting news to get your engines revving over the technical specs and special features you will find on the upcoming Blu-ray release.  The technical specs will feature a 1080 P VC-1 encode in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.  The special features can be found below. Saturday Night Fever Blu-ray Review

Blu-ray’s Dragonball Evolution

The legend of Dragonball comes to life this July on Blu-ray!  Twentieth Century Fox has just announced a July 28th release date for Dragonball Evolution.  The adventure arrives on Blu-ray with over an hour of hard-hitting extras.  The Blu-ray release is dubbed Dragonball Evolution: Z Edition.  Check out the full press release below for all the goodies in store on Blu-ray for fans of the Dragonball saga. More Lionsgate Blu-ray Announcements…

Why stop with all the Lionsgate Blu-ray news.  Let’s keep the titles coming.  OK…your wish is our command.  Lionsgate has recently announced a release date of August 11th for 4 Blu-ray catalog titles.  And…drum roll please…those titles just happen to be Cutthroat Island, Replicant, The Ninth Gate and See No Evil.  I am personally excited to check out The Ninth Gate on Blu-ray.  Well let’s see what Lionsgate has to say about these titles.  Check out below for the full press release from Lionsgate on these 4 Blu-ray catalog titles coming to your home this August. Blu-ray Chaos!

Well here is another movie title I never caught in the theatre.  Actually, here’s a title I never heard of.  However, it does have one of my current favorite action stars in it…Jason Statham.  So how bad can it be?  Don’t answer that.  Our favorite Blu-ray studio has just announced an Augst 11th Blu-ray release date for Jason Statham’s Chaos.  I honestly do not know anything about this movie.  It does have an incredibly low pre-order price on Amazon.  Check out the press release below from Lionsgate. The Haunting in Connecticut Scares on Blu-ray

Here’s another movie I missed seeing in the theatres during its theatrical release.  I look forward to catching it on Blu-ray in the very near future.  What movie am I talking about?  Well if you are a horror fan like me you may be excited to learn that Lionsgate has announced a July 14th DVD and Blu-ray release date for The Haunting in Connecticut.  Supposedly this film is based upon a true horror story.  I sure hope so as that will make it larger than life.  I guess only time will tell until I get a chance to check it out on Blu-ray.  Until then check out the press release below from Lionsgate on this exciting horror title.
