Well Go USA Entertainment announced its acquisition of North American rights for Don Coscarelli’s legendary Phantasm series, including an all-new 4K restoration of the original 1979 cult classic Phantasm: Remastered, never-before-seen HD restorations of 1994’s Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead and 1998’s Phantasm IV: Oblivion, and the long-anticipated debut of the fifth and final film in the series, 2016’s Phantasm: Ravager.
I have to say despite the negative reviews I still find myself a bit curious on this one. You? So here’s the skinny. Boss Baby was a surprise that popped up at the end of the Trolls panel. It only lasted for about 30mins, but the opportunity to see footage of a talking baby voiced by Alec Baldwin was well worth the wait. Boss Baby is the story of a family who’s new addition to the family turns out to be a high-powered business man in the form of a baby. His mission and goal is to oust his older brother from his position as the favorite son.
Before Batman: The Killing Joke premiered at Comic-Con in Ballroom 20 on Friday night, the cast attended a press junket for the animated film across the street at the Bayfront Hilton earlier in the day. On hand were voice talent Tara Strong (Batgirl), Ray Wise (Commissioner Gordon), and writer Brian Azzarello. Kevin Conroy (Batman) executive producer Bruce Timm, and the director Sam Liu were also in attendance, but didn’t have time to be rotated to my press table. The press room was massive, with what felt like hundreds of other reporters and journalists crammed into the dimly lit space.
