Saturday, October 17th, 2009…It was a night I will never forget. The filming of Spike TV’s fourth annual Scream 2009 awards will go down as one of the most memorable nights of my life. Not only did fate play a crucial role as an opportunity to provide red carpet coverage presented itself during my already planned vacation time in Los Angeles, but destiny intervened as the stars aligned and I suddenly found myself surrounded by all the actors who have meant so much to me over the years, for better or worse. 
Just when you think the intensity of the plotlines could not possibly get any more convoluted, intertwined and twisted, you are proven wrong time and again. It’s Halloween time so that must mean it’s Saw time. I have to be honest. I did not think I was going to make the debut outing tonight (referring to Friday), but the damp fall weather and a friend’s persistent nudges to venture out proved to be a fruitful endeavor, worthy of an entry in my Top 10 list of theatrical releases this year. 
The red carpet at the 2009 Spike TV Scream Awards featured stars aplenty and Why So Blu was there to cover all the glitz and glamor that strolled down the hailed walkway that night. Make sure to check out our photo coverage of the red carpet extravaganza 
Well before we start the weekend I wanted to chime in and let you know about two new upcoming Blu-ray releases I found out about today and what other content you can expect from us to deliver on. The Timothy Olyphant and Milla Jovovich thriller A Perfect Getaway will see a Blu-ray release from Universal Studios on December 29th. This next title sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Pink brings her Funhouse Tour to Blu-ray. 
I think it’s safe to say that times are tough in this economy and it’s not easy to find work. Now imagine being an actor or actress. The odds are already stacked against you and then you’ve got these dire financial times to contend with. Despite these odds, there are those who not only weather the storm, but become successful in the midst of it all. 
Gerald Butler and Jamie Foxx go head to head in a cat and mouse tale of domestic terrorism in Law Abiding Citizen. The initial trailer that I saw for this movie had me rooting for Clyde Shelton (Gerald Butler’s character). He’s the guy that manages to survive a home invasion that brutally ends the lives of his family. Clyde feels that the American judicial system has revealed has failed him, so he has decided to teach the city of Philadelphia a lesson. 
Welcome to our exclusive red carpet coverage of Spike TV’s Scream 2009 awards ceremony! If red carpet coverage of Scream 2009 is what you desire, then look no more. Words cannot express the exuberant hysteria that overcame my editor and myself, this past Saturday, as we covered the red carpet ceremonial entrance of the stars in what would be the biggest night of the year honoring the best in fantasy, sci-fi, comics and horror. 
Ah…just what the doctor ordered. Another teenage vampire movie! But not just any teenage vampire movie. Oh no! It’s a film that Time Magazine has hailed as “the all-time teenage vampire love story.” What film am I talking about? Well, none other than Lionsgate’s 
The question begs to be asked. Does Twilight suck as bad as our mascot Dexter leads us to believe (see photos below)? What is everyone’s infatuation with the Twilight movies and books? Are they really as good as everyone makes them out to be or are we the American people so brainwashed by pop culture that we believe anything that is told to us? I tend to put my money in the latter of the two stocks. 
We are off to sunny California to hopefully bring back some to-die-for red carpet coverage from Spike TV’s Scream 2009 event taping this Saturday, October 17th in Los Angeles. The 4th annual event commemorates all things sci-fi, fantasy, horror and comic book related. The show will feature the hottest films, TV shows, comics, actors, creators and icons who have influenced and shaped these dramas. 
Alright, I’ll admit the title is a mouth full, but give me a second to explain myself. Since nowadays Hollywood slightly redeemed themselves in the eyes of many geeks in a light of the recent comic book to film adaptations, it seems they’ve realize that combining solid talent to fan boy material can equal box office success as well as critical plaudits. It was a long road to get there and for every Dark Knight there is the Fantastic Four series. 
Although I wanted so badly to be part of this unfortunately we were unable to make this year’s Scream Awards. However, we do have the list of winner’s announced from last night’s slashing show. For those of you who don’t know, the Reaper Awards took place last night at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles and was presented by Home Media Magazine and DreadCentral.com. 
It’s my favorite time of the year and what better way to celebrate than to share with readers my Top 10 Horror Blu-rays of 2009. Let me rephrase the first half of that last sentence. Summer is my favorite time of the year. Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. Halloween takes its roots from the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints’ Day.
