Cinemax’s first scripted primetime drama series returns. A high-octane, globe-spanning thriller, Strike Back focuses on two members of Section 20, a secret British anti-terrorist organization: Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester), a consummate British soldier still struggling to overcome tragedy in his life, and Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), a disgraced U.S. Delta Force operative who has found redemption with S-20. In Season 3, the series will have a true global canvas, opening in Colombia – with parallel missions in Beirut, Budapest, Russia, and Germany – and following a trail of drug money that is funding terrorists in the Middle East. In March I had the pleasure of visiting Los Angeles after not being in that beloved city for over two years. Absence truly made my heart grow fonder, but it did not do anything for the ridiculous traffic out there. Anyway, one of my most fondest memories from my most recent trip was taking WSB Staff writer Gerard Iribe on a date to see It Follows. I was blown away by it. As soon as the credits rolled I turned to Gerard and said was that old school Carpenter Halloween style or what. He agreed! We then ate a vegetarian dinner, but I digress. So here’s the deal…It Follows, the critically acclaimed breakout movie of the year, arrives on Digital HD July 3rd and on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand July 14th from Anchor Bay Home Entertainment. I almost rented this flick on iTunes over the weekend, but time was not my friend. Low and behold, this press release just dropped. Someone up there must be looking out for me. Haha. After all, I would love my first time with this film I am hearing so much praise about to be on the Blu-ray format. So here it is. Ahoy there! Extra! Extra! We have some new Disney news today! Marvel Studios has commenced principal photography at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on the hotly anticipated Captain America Civil War, the third installment of its particular “Super Hero franchise.” The production will shoot on location in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as the base for the film’s production, as well as locations in Germany, Puerto Rico and Iceland. All I have to say is can I come along? Joking! No I’m not! I really do want to be part of this all! Luckily for me I have the next best thing…the official press release below from the Big Mouse. We are overjoyed to announce the theatrical trailer debut of IFC Midnight’s new film The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence) directed by Tom Six and starring Dieter Laser, Laurence R. Harvey, Eric Roberts and Bree Olson. The film will be released theatrically and on VOD/digital streaming services starting Friday, May 22nd. How the film will incorporate Dieter and Laurence’s characters again is anybody’s guess, but nevertheless I’ll give it that old college try! So crack open a cold one and check out the trailer below as well as the full press release too. 
Marvel’s ANT-MAN, one of the original members of the Avengers, finally makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut this summer following the global critical and box office success of Avengers: Age of Ultron. ANT-MAN stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Michael Douglas and is in theaters on July 17, 2015! I’m just interested to see if this former Edgar Wright production is going to sink or swim, my money is on the former, but I’m optimistic at the same time for the latter. And hey!
