Scream Factory have proven to be the experts when it comes to the works of Vincent Price. In the last two years, they’ve release two super freaking awesome boxed sets. Now comes a standalone release which is a bit of a surprise. I sort of worry about a third box set this coming October as Kino Lorber has been announcing a flurry of Price titles as of late (Leave Scream Factory alone, you! We want more Price Collections!). Who knows, if there’s one group full of pleasant surprises its Scream Factory. Today is the specs on their delayed release of From A Whisper To A Scream which features some super awesome box art. This is going to be an exciting revisiting experiment. Like most others, I was not a fan of the pointless snoozefest that was the 2013 remake of Carrie. Now is the time to go back and see if the other two post-De Palma Carrie efforts were any better. Scream Factory is putting out a Double Feature of the late Scream-era sequel The Rage: Carrie 2 and the mini-series based on the book as well (also called Carrie). I’ve seen both, but I’ve also seen a lot of movies and other things since then. My old man memory is foggy. While I remember being disappointed with both, I’m really interested to see if I can see them A) in a different light and B) see if they’re better than the misguided retread we had a few years ago. Well, this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for, right? Scream Factory putting out John Carpenter’s Escape From New York on a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray. Snake Plissken’s original adventure is finally getting some respectful treatment on the best format. With their track history of John Carpenter titles well in tow and high regard, we already know this is going to be the most fantastic and best ever release of Escape From New York there is and may damn well ever be on any format. Today, we finally are privy to the specs and bonus features on this outstanding 2-disc set. Scroll below to see what they are! Here’s one I unfortunately missed in the theaters, but I really wanted to catch it and come this April I get my wish! So here’s the deal. Anchor Bay Entertainment and The Weinstein Company are proud to announce the home entertainment release of “one of Tim Burton’s best films,” (Scott Mendelson, Forbes – Hey! I know him!) Big Eyes.
