In the age we live in, it is unfortunate that getting a mainstream superhero movie’s trailer less than a year (or at least 9 months) in advance is some sign of trouble. For various reasons, despite the success of director Josh Trank’s Chronicle and the presence of proven acting talents in the form of Miles Teller (Whiplash, The Spectacular Now), Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, The Adventures of Tin Tin), Michael B. Jordon (Fruitvale Station, Chronicle), and Kate Mara (House of Cards), a good portion of people have been screaming about this new Fantastic Four’s existence from the start. It is as if going for something different is suddenly the worst idea possible and everyone suddenly loved the previous F4 films starring Jessica Alba as a scientist and Mr. Fantastic played by Horatio Hornblower (and I would be impressed to see a majority of geeks who knew how to spell, let alone pronounce, Ioan Grufford’s name offhand). I don’t even want to get into the silliness involving the ‘controversy’ of casting a black actor in the part of Johnny Storm. All that is to say that Fox has now released the first trailer for the upcoming reboot of Fantastic Four and it looks solid enough, as far as vague teaser trailer go. We will find out more soon enough, as the film approaches its August release date. Continue on to view the trailer, images, and the new poster for the film.

Because Marvel Studios is struggling both in terms of profit and approval both critically and audiences alike, they have decided to really try and market this Avengers: Age of Ultron thing, in order to hopefully get a real success finally…Okay, so clearly Marvel is not struggling, but low and behold – here is a brand new trailer for the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. Given what I have seen in the trailers thus far, playing up the ‘dark sequel’ idea is definitely part of the plan, even if the film ends up being as much fun as we should expect it to be. That said, I will say that these trailers are better than the ones for the first Avengers, so that is a big plus. If the eventual posters follow suit, that will be even better. Check out the new trailer by continuing on in this post.

Whether you were watching the premiere of Marvel’s Agent Carter or simply waiting for YouTube/Twitter/Facebook to explode with all this ANT-MAN stuff, it is now safe to think small and get a load of what Marvel has in store this July. Ant-Man is coming and troubled behind-the-scenes business aside, many surely have enough faith in the studio that brought us talking trees and raccoons to go along with the effortlessly likable Paul Rudd, as he and Michael Douglas battle the preferably bald Corey Stoll in the next Marvel Studios adventure. Sure, this is not the most iconic teaser I have ever scene for a Marvel film, but I am pleased enough with the emphasis on character and am curious what a movie like this about this kind of character can really do. Check out the trailer for yourself and tell us what you think!

Well this took me by surprise. Sean Penn has decided to join Liam Neeson and Denzel Washington in the realm of ‘high class’ actors doing crazy, B-level action movies. It helps that Penn is aided by a strong supporting cast. Check this out: Open Road Films is proud to share the OFFICIAL TRAILER for the new action thriller THE GUNMAN from TAKEN director Pierre Morel and starring Sean Penn, Javier Bardem, Idris Elba, Ray Winstone and Mark Rylance. Check it out in this post and at Yahoo! Movies.

A couple months back we got to see a tease of what Pixar has lined up for next year. Now we have a full on trailer for Inside Out, which looks like it will be all sorts of entertainment, given it’s out-there ideas for how to make another original animated adventure. It is a nice break from seeing sequels to past Pixar successes, putting Brave aside, though I still have not out and out disliked one of Pixar’s movies (and I include Cars 2 in that statement). Regardless, Inside Out looks like a lot of fun and hits theaters next June. Continue on to see the new trailer, plus some new character posters for the film.

We now have a new trailer for Terminator Genisys, the fifth entry in the ongoing cyborg action franchise (though it is a partial reboot as well). Whether we wanted another Terminator film or not, Paramount has decided to bring back Arnold Schwarzenegger and produce a brand new action-adventure set in the future, directed by Alan Taylor of Game of Thrones and Thor: The Dark World fame. The film also stars Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Jason Clark, Spartacus’ Jai Courtney, Doctor Who’s Matt Smith, and The Good, The Bad, and The Weird’s Lee Byung-hun, giving me enough to be interested. Ideally this will at least be a fun entry into the series and allow for some new ground to be covered, especially given the proposed trilogy that is planned. That said, I was burned hard by Terminator Salvation, so my hopes can only go so high. Continue on to watch the trailer for the film.

“Clever girl.” Well this is more exciting than I was expecting. Jurassic World is coming and while I may not have many nice things to say about the previous Jurassic Park sequels (I like 3 more than The Lost World though), I still have a continue interest in dinosaurs and the world that these films exist in. Now we have a new trailer (and some images and a poster) for Jurassic World and it looks like fun. The premise seems solid enough, director Colin Trevorrow has gone from the indie hit Safety Not Guaranteed to the world of big budget movies, and the cast has Star Lord himself, Chris Pratt, among many others. Check out the trailer for yourself and let us know what you think! Continue reading ‘Jurassic World Trailer Premiere Plus New Images!’

A live-action feature inspired by the classic fairy tale, “Cinderella” brings to life the timeless images from Disney’s 1950 animated masterpiece as fully-realized characters in a visually-dazzling spectacle for a whole new generation. Directed by Academy Award® nominee Kenneth Branagh (“Thor,” “Hamlet”) and starring Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett (“Blue Jasmine,” “Elizabeth”), Lily James (“Downton Abbey”), Richard Madden (“Game of Thrones”) and Academy Award nominee Helena Bonham Carter (“The King’s Speech,” “Alice in Wonderland”), “Cinderella” is produced by Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “Elysium”), Allison Shearmur (“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part I”) and David Barron (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”) with Tim Lewis (“Goldeneye”) serving as executive producer. The screenplay is by Chris Weitz (“About a Boy,” “The Golden Compass”). “Cinderella” will be released through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on March 13, 2015. There is certainly a lot of interest coming with the next installment in the Fast & Furious franchise. The unfortunate passing of Paul Walker is part of the curiosity for many, in terms of both looking at an unfortunate incident and wondering how this film will work around it, but to put that bit of sadness to the side, this is still a high octane action film that now adds the likes of Jason Statham, Tony Jaa, Djimon Hounsou, and Kurt Russell to the cast. That is pretty fantastic, as far as potential goes and based on this trailer, it looks like director James Wan (new to this franchise and formerly of Saw and Insidious fame) is out to really deliver. Continue on to check out the all-new Furious 7 trailer, see the official poster, and check out pics from the film.

Well, the plan to release this teaser during ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. did not pan out the way it was intended, but regardless, here it is, the first full length teaser trailer for the upcoming Marvel epic, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Those who attended Comic Con will recognize some similarities to the footage presented there, but the biggest change is the increase in visual effects and the lack of any humor. This is a trailer that wants to show the darker tone that will come from the presence of Ultron and it is pretty exciting to see. The film hits theaters May 2015 and is easily one of the most anticipated films of next year. Continue on to check out the trailer and the new poster for the film.

The US official teaser trailer for TOMORROWLAND directed by Brad Bird and starring George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy and Hugh Laurie, which just debuted at New York Comic Con, is now available. That is a sentence that thrills me, as Disney may have been able to present a panel about this upcoming feature at NYCC, but I am very happy to at least see footage from the actual film. Appropriately cryptic, but filled with ideas and a way to pique the interests of many, this is one of the original films coming next summer that has me very excited. Continue on to check out the new teaser trailer and a poster.

A lot of movement has taken place at Pixar this past year, in terms of when and what movies will be coming out of the animation studio in the future. We may be getting a couple more sequels (to some of their best films), but there are a number of originals coming our way as well. Next summer sees the release of Inside Out, directed by Pete Docter (Up, Monsters Inc.) and he announced this film a while ago, describing it as Pixar’s attempt to put an audience inside of the human mind. Now we have a teaser trailer that announces just such a thing (following a montage of clips from the Pixar films most people already love). We are sure to learn more about this upcoming animated adventure, but continue on to check out the teaser and to see a brief synopsis of the film.

Labor Day aside, I am a big fan of the films from Jason Reitman (Up In The Air, Juno, Young Adult), so I tend to get excited for whatever he has coming our way. Men, Women & Children has me curious. While I feel the film Disconnect handled a similar topic just last year, the idea of watching how technology has altered the social environment continues to be a neat concept that could play into a good feature film, if handled right. A new trailer is now up, so feel free to check it out, along with the film’s synopsis, and admire the poster as well, as I think it is one of the better mainstream theatrical posters from this year.
