More Turtle Power: New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer And Character Posters
As August is getting closer, so are the batch of weirder summer movies headed our way, including Guardians of the Galaxy, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. With Turtles, there has already been some mixed reaction to what we are getting, given the modern feel of it all and Michael Bay’s name being attached to it. That said, given that TMNT continues to be a presence on TV, kids will likely be happy to check out this new live-action film (which looks very kid friendly to me, as it should), let alone the adults who are happy to embrace nostalgia. Now we have a new trailer that provides a better idea of what is to come with this new movie, along with plenty of character posters. We’ll see how it turns out on August 8th, but continue on to see the new trailer and posters.

Sci-Fi deep sea cult classic LEVIATHAN is hitting Blu-ray in the “Summer Of Fear”, and you’re in luck because Scream Factory is taking the reigns. Its not getting the Collector’s Edition treatment, but rest assured this film is going to look better than ever and it does have itself some new interviews. LEVIATHAN is a movie that just scream awesome at me on paper. It has Robocop, Trautman, Winston, Jenny Summers, Marv the wet bandit…from the director of First Blood Part II, guys who wrote Blade Runner, Die Hard and The Fugitive, with effects from Stan Winston! Pretty cool. Below you’ll see the details for the release as well as the option to pre-order this sucker to have when it comes out! 
I dig Tony Jaa’s style quite a bit. I’m looking really forward to him joining in on Fast & Furious 7 when that drops next April. When I saw his breakout film Ong-Bak, I was pretty blown away by his furious Muay Thai style and many of the fresh action sequences that beheld before my own eyes. His follow up, The Protector, I wasn’t as fond of, but man did it have that one sequence going up that restaurant floor by floor, room to room in one take that just had my jaw drop. It was one of the best action sequences of the last decade. Jaa has returned to this film with a sequel that has been buzzing around VOD and will now hit Blu-ray on July 29. Happy days! I just got word that one of my favorite shows on television is coming to Blu-ray only 5 days before my birthday. It’s no wonder why the month of August absolutely rocks! That’s right folks. AMC’s The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season is walking onto the Blu-ray format August 26th in two distinct different sets, the regular one and a limited edition tree walker set. I’m kind of bittersweet in regards to this one. On one hand I am looking forward to finally seeing this one after missing all the press screenings for it, but I know it’s going to make me very homesick. It seems like when I left Cleveland last year it all the sudden began thriving. Who knows? Maybe I have been the professional sports jinx for the city the past 39 years. All I know is Hollywood has tapped that town when the weather is at its most cooperative, most notably the summer months with productions such as the recent one Criminal Activities to really huge ones such as the last Captain America flick. Honestly, all I really care about is seeing my friends Robert Graziosi and Richard Hunter in here and maybe see what Garner is up to as well. I’m just joshing you! Growing up, I was a big fan of the original Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon. I think what attracted me a lot to the cartoon was how much I embraced serialized storytelling. The original cartoon would often leave off on a cliffhanger at multiple points in an episode or at the tail end. Even before there was a live action movie, when they started putting the old episodes on VHS in the late 80s there was a resurgence in its popularity even leading to CBS re-airing episodes on Friday nights one summer. During the Rocky and Bullwinkle show there were other cartoons mixed in like Dudley Do-Right. One of those cartoons was Mr. Peabody & Sherman (also, notable was Dudley Doo Right). That cartoon was resurrected earlier this year in a hit live action cartoon which is now coming to glorious Blu-ray. Below you can read all about this release! 
Although we kind of fell out of touch a few years back, I still consider him my dear friend in the movie business who I strive and emulate to be one day and of course look up to. The man I’m talking about is the man of the hour here, Marcus Dean Fuller. You may know him from my interview with him 
I’ll drop an admission, I’ve never seen Scream Factory’s upcoming title, Motel Hell. I do remember it being a staple at most all the mom and pop video stores’ horror sections back in the VHS hay day. I guess I just never got around to renting the darn thing. But, alas, I’ll get to see it in the best possible presentation available aside from a theatrical screening. Motel Hell and I will be making up for lost time come August. Today we get the final specs on the release. Of note, the commentary is moderated by The Hills Run Red director Dave Parker. It looks like my birthday is coming early this August with word from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is swinging onto Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD August 19th, with an early Digital HD release on August 5th. The Blu-ray comes loaded with more than 100 minutes of extras including filmmaker commentary and 13 deleted scenes.
