I suppose it can be construed that Director Todd Phillips took on this project to give himself some much needed distance from his previous surprise hit (The Hangover) before tackling his next project, The Hangover 2 (currently in production). I could completely understand if this was true and in all honesty, I would not blame him a bit before doing so. However, maybe he was forced to take this on. But really, who cares? Thelma and Louise celebrates its 20th Anniversary with this release and it still resonates with a lot of people to this day. The movie became something of an anthem for female empowerment and triggered many discussions and disagreements once released. The concept of two women becoming fugitives due to poor judgement and circumstances was radical at the time.
Everyone’s favorite funnymen: Jim Carrey, Matthew Broderick, Jack Black and Judd Apatow are back when Sony Pictures Home Enetertainment releases the dark comedy The Cable Guy on Blu-ray March 1st! The comedic classic is wired with the following special features: NEW feature commentary with Ben Stiller, Judd Apatow and Jim Carrey, gag reel, deleted and extended scenes, Leslie Mann audition tape, and HBO First Look: The Cable Guy. 
I missed this movie in the theaters so I was glad to be given the chance to review this movie since I thought the previews looked cute. Life As We Know It stars Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl and it’s the typical romantic comedy that we’ve all seen a hundred times. I was curious to see if this one would be any different than the usual ones and I’m happy to say that this was really well done!
Up until recently I didn’t know anything about Unknown, but when I saw the movie’s trailer on television, a few weeks back, I instantly took notice. Why? Because… A) Liam Neeson stars in it… and B) Liam Neeson is shown in a bada$$ role much like he portrayed in Taken. And so, with only one short viewing of the trailer I was like where do I sign up for this trip at. 
Half-Shark, Half-Octopus – All Killer! I’m sorry, but I’m just enamored by the artwork on this upcoming March 15th Blu-ray release. It actually put a smile on my face. And let me tell you. I have been having a pretty sh!tty day. So yeah, anyway, the movie in reference here is none other than Anchor Bay’s upcoming Syfy smash hit creature feature, Sharktopus. Alright! We are back with some more. More Walking Dead is what I’m talking about! Take a walk on the undead side, as the groundbreaking AMC original series The Walking Dead rises again when Anchor Bay Entertainment releases the Blu-ray and DVD of the hit show on March 8th. The Complete First Season Blu-ray and DVD contain all 6 episodes of the first season on a 2-disc set and are packed with special behind-the-scenesfeaturettes and insightful extra footage. I believe that there have been three major productions of Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days. The first one was with David Niven which was followed by this mini-series with Pierce Brosnan, and finally the Disney version with Steve Coogan and Jackie Chan. This three part mini-series shared the earlier entries stunt casting of various stars (mainly from television) to play small supporting parts. 
For those of you that don’t know, Beauty & the Briefcase is an ABC Family Original Movie and it stars former Disney star Hillary Duff, who I am generally not a fan of. I have a really hard time believing Hillary Duff is an adult in anything she does – but that’s slightly off topic. 
Billy Zane returns for the explosively entertaining next chapter in the action-packed Sniper series. That’s right, baby! Sniper: Reloaded hits the target on Blu-ray and DVD this April 26th. Warner Home Video has announced three more Blu-ray double feature packs. They will all be released on June 7 and include American History X / A History of Violence, Collateral Damage / Eraser and Wyatt Earp / The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. There is literally no difference between these versions of the film and their respective single disc counterparts. You can check out the cover art that’s available for two of the releases below. These sets are not up for pre-order as of yet on Amazon. 
I’m pretty pumped about this press release below. So check this out! Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Voyager), Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight) and Darren Shahlavi (300) are set to star n a Mortal Kombat live-action digital media series. Intrigued? So was I.
