For those of you that aren’t aware of the show, How The Earth Was Made is a documentary series that premiered in 2007 on The History Channel that focuses on different geologic events and how those events have shaped the Earth through the use of computer generated graphics, on location shooting, and a group of experts whose expertise in geology and volcanology helps explain what we are seeing. Is Ed Helms the nerdiest guy in Hollywood right now? I mean he’s the nerd-in-residence on The Office, he played the nerdy dentist in the hit comedy The Hangover, and now we get Tim Lippe, insurance salesman and nerd extraordinaire in Cedar Rapids. Tim Lippe is an innocent, wide-eyed, naïve, sappy guy, who LOVES the idea of providing people with their perfect insurance package. He lives for this stuff. Anyway, the premise of this movie is that Tim gets the chance to go to the annual insurance convention in Cedar Rapids, and he’s really never even been out of his hometown. 
Thomas Jefferson is one of our nation’s most important and least understood Presidents despite being the most researched and quoted of all of them. He was a man of many contradictions and this DVD attempts to provide the viewers of an overview of Jefferson’s life and offers a closer look at his inconsistent nature. 
It will be a day long remembered! The Star Wars Saga will be back in theaters next February in 3D starting with Episode I – The Phantom Menace and followed by the rest of the legendary series! I know some people will inevitably complain that it will be in 3D but the conversion is being supervised by ILM and George Lucas personally and it will look fantastic I’m sure. Besides, does it really matter? This is the Star Wars movies back on the big screen where they belong!
If you like shows about insanely dangerous jobs like The Deadliest Catch, then you are sure to love Ice Road Truckers. As they say at the start of each show, “At the top of the world, there’s a job only a few would dare.” Those few include the drivers from the Carlile trucking company who are now driving to even more remote and dangerous locations than before. 
Remember the good old 90’s? How can you forget? You had the grunge movement…Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden…I could go on and on AND THEN you had the legendary Scream horror trilogy! Well guess what! The magic of the 90’s are back on Blu-ray this March! Just in time for April’s Scream 4, Lionsgate has announced plans to bring the Scream trilogy to the Blu-ray format on March 29th. For those keeping track…that’s less than a month away. Surprise, surprise! All three films will be sold individually on Blu-ray. 
On October 13, 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crashed in the Andes Mountains with forty-five passengers aboard. Due to pilot error, their flight plan and position was incorrect which led search patrol to look for survivors in the wrong area and eventually to abandon the plane and passengers as lost. Left to survive on their own, the ill-equipped survivors had to survive in one of the most desolate places in the world and make choices that no human being should ever be forced to make in order to survive.
The movie that made Star Wars possible and kicked off a wave of nostalgia across the nation, is finally coming to Blu-ray this May! American Graffiti was so successful that it gave George Lucas the chance to make Star Wars and launched the careers of a talented group of young actors that includes: Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfuss, Paul LeMat, Charles Martin-Smith, Candy Clark, and the already well known Ron Howard who made the transition from television to movies with this film.
Come on. How can you say no to these 3 girls? You can’t! Do you remember the first Blue Crush? Well coming this June, the made for video sequel will ride the Blu-ray waves courtesy of Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The Blu-ray release will feature a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track and depending on what set you pick up, a Digital Copy also! Make sure you 
Norman Jewison’s Moonstruck paved the way for other culturally focused comedies like My Big Fat Greek Wedding where the story revolves around a large family who loves, fights, and eats together. In this case, the movie is about the Castorini family, an Italian brood that sticks together despite some problems which include infidelity, curses, and more. 
Gulliver’s Travels has a great cast with Jack Black, Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, and Amanda Peet who star in this classic tale of a regular guy who travel to the land called Lilliput where he is a giant among them. This version seems to be very family friendly and I’ve read that they created a new process of filming in 3D so I’m curious to see how it turned out. 
Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro reteam on Blu-ray with the hilarious cast of the beloved Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers in the #1 comedy blockbuster, Little Fockers, April 5th. The Universal Studios Blu-ray Combo Pack features an alternate opening and ending, featurettes, behind the scenes footage and so much more. Bernardo Bertolucci’s Last Tango in Paris is one of the most controversial yet celebrated movies in film history. In fact, when it was released it was with an “X” rating and was protested by many women’s groups. The press either seemed to love it or hate it. Some like Pauline Kael said that, “Tango has altered the face of an art form,” while others like William F. Buckley described it as “Pornography disguised as art.”

Quite honestly, I’m not sure how many people are going to spend their time reading this review or care that I’m so passionate about this title. It’s a shame too. Most of the same people who put me down for liking this are the ones that get upset because I never saw “this” or “that.” Let’s see. How does the old saying go? I think it’s “to each their own” or something like that. Anyway, this review is for me. It’s a celebration of a film I really enjoyed last year. It’s a delicate time in my life when I will take my “man card” out of my pocket momentarily and lay it on the table as I write this and truly could care less if you hate this film or not.
