Well, once again there’s not too much to report on today in the world of Blu-ray. The only thing I learned about is the availability of an X-Men Origins: Wolverine Best Buy Exlusive Blu-ray Gift Set. I’m generally not a fan of these teenage horror movies, but I have to admit that the film trailer’s plot really intrigued me. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced their Blu-ray Diamond Collection, which consists of 14 of their most cherished timeless classics on the Blu-ray format. Due to our flight being cancelled going out to Comic-Con, this past July, I missed out on an opportunity to meet and interview the Orphan‘s writer David Johnson. The Inglorious Basterds. Ah, Mr. Tarantino likes to use shock value not only in his films, but also in his films’ titles. I have to be honest. Before I saw this movie and people asked me what it was like (which is a bit odd considering they knew I hadn’t seen the movie at the time), I would tell them that it’s probably typical tongue-in-cheek Tarantino humor with some exaggerated violence. There’s not too much going on in the world of Blu-ray today. Besides the press release I received from Fox today detailing the October 27th Blu-ray release of Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs, all I have is one other Blu-ray release to mention. Starz/Anchor Bay has announced plans to bring the thriller Not Forgotten to Blu-ray on November 3rd with a 1080P video presentation and a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround soundtrack.
