Recently released on the Playstation Network is the new downloadable game, Star Trek D-A-C. For $9.99, players can buy this game with its permanent home on their PS3 hard drive. Star Trek D-A-C is a top-down shooter set in deep space where you can choose from a variety of ships, which include a flagship (such as the Enterprise or Constitution), missile cruiser, support frigate, bomber and fighter. I have not one… not two…but three new Blu-ray release dates to announce today! Are you ready? The first one is more of a confirmation rather than an announcement so please forgive me if I lead you on. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced a January 12th Blu-ray release date for Rob Zombie’s 
I honestly had no intentions of ever seeing the latest disaster flick, Roland Emmerich’s 2012, on the big screen. Had it not been for the recommendation to do so from fellow reviewer Bob Ignizio, then I probably would not have. I actually remember telling my co-worker Sandy this past Friday that there’s no way I will be seeing this. But, I was having a bad day, a somber time in class and I just figured what the heck…let’s watch some stuff get blown up! 
Boldly go where no man, not to mention Blu-ray, has ever gone before. A Blu-ray adventure that is 40 years in the making. CBS and Paramount Home Entertainment will be making every Trekkie’s Christmas a “Blu” one this year when they bring 
2012 is completely ridiculous trash that turns massive destruction and the deaths of billions of people (including, by implication, just about everyone watching it) into fodder for entertainment. Of course the disaster movies of the seventies did the same thing on a smaller scale, and who can resist The Towering Inferno or Earthquake? 
Earlier today I received the email that made my day even better. Not only have I been at home getting in some much needed R&R, today being Veteran’s Day, but I also was notified to be on the lookout for my Blu-ray review copy, sometime next week, of the movie that completely changed my life and thought processes. I’m talking about Fight Club of course! Never has a movie made such a profound impact on my life. It was a liberating fresh breath of oxygen that stimulated and brought to life whole brain lobes, within my skull, that I never knew existed. 
Arguably, the most popular G.I. Joe character is Snake Eyes. I fall into the majority here as he is certainly my favorite Joe. Why do so many G.I. Joe fans flock to this one soldier? Maybe it’s the intrigue of his silence along with his mysterious past. Maybe it’s because he wears all black. Maybe it’s just because the dude is one kick-@$$ ninja who knocks down whatever gets in his way. 
With Halloween done and gone, I couldn’t shake the feeling of how the Holiday had always been synonymous with bad horror sequels. Back in the 80’s, the studios churned out installments in their terror franchises like it was nobody’s business; horror icons like Freddy, Michael and Jason graced the celluloid screen annually on the Hollows Eve of yesteryears. At present, our sole champion is Lionsgate’s cash-cow franchise Saw, having just released their sixth instalment! 
From the strikingly different covers that grace these three issues (Paul Pope on issue one, Peter Bagge on issue two, and Stan Sakai on issue three) you know immediately that these aren’t going to be your normal Marvel comics, let alone normal superhero fare. Taking a page from DC Comics’ Bizarro Comics, Marvel enlisted an eclectic group of writers and artists from comic’s indy scene and basically told them to “Have fun.” 
It was in 1990, I believe, when a friend dragged me to a comic book store with him so he could pick up whatever was in his monthly file. Up to this point, I had four comic books in my possession, none of which lit my fire in the world of superheros. So we arrive at the then-thriving, but now long-since defunct American Comics, Cards & Collectibles. I was completely blown away by the clutter in this guy’s store. 
The title of the story says it all. Hot off the success of her first single “She Wolf,” the seductive Shakira has “Did It Again” with her latest hip shaking music video. Interestingly enough, the song “Did It Again” will be her next single off the new album, She Wolf, in all countries outside the United States. The reason being is that Shakira is prepping her latest Timbaland produced radio chart topping song “Give It Up To Me” for offering to the American audiences. 
I was having a bad day right up to the moment this announcement sprung up in my email inbox at 4:22 PM. Fox made it official today! The sexy Megan Fox horror comedy 
What’s that saying our parents and teachers would angrily ask us when we were younger? “If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you do it too??” If the cast of True Blood jumped, then apparently I’m going to follow. I don’t watch many television shows. I used to watch Sportscenter religiously but that has since fallen by the wayside for me. Then there was The Office. I enjoyed a few seasons of that but eventually grew tired of watching standard definition dvd’s.
