After falling in love with the remake of I Spit on Your Grave a few years back I have subsequently fallen for Sarah Butler as a direct result too so while Brandon Peters works on the Blu-ray review of this within the week I look forward to checking this and her out one fine day. My initial thought is that this movie can either go one of two ways, suck or be decent, but I’m willing to gamble a couple hours of my life on it. How about you? Come on horror fans! It has Sarah Butler AND Malcolm McDowell in it! That’s like a two for one deal! So here’s the basics. Spartacus: The Complete Series, the acclaimed Starz Original series, is coming to Blu-ray on September 16th courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment. If you’ve been an avid reader of Why So Blu over the past 5 years or so, then I don’t think I need to tell you how much Spartacus means to this site. It’s not only responsible for finding one of the greatest writers on the Internet to write for our site, but it also brought our tiny little site into the public’s eye or limelight, some five years ago, courtesy of one of the greatest press people one could EVER have the pleasure of working with. She knows who she is and I’m forever grateful for her help over the years and I hope many, many more. And guess what?! She’s behind this giveaway too! Now here’s a flick thai I am personally salivating to see having missed it in the theaters. Who doesn’t love a tale like that? It goes a little something like this. When Russell’s brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) returns home from Iraq, he is lured into one of the Northeast’s most ruthless crime rings and mysteriously disappears. When the police fail to solve the case, Russell puts his life at risk in order to seek justice for his brother. The film features an all-star cast that includes Woody Harrelson, Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe, Zoe Saldana and Sam Shepard. I have some thrilling news for you all in regards to Anchor Bay’s upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release of the Starz Original mini-series The White Queen, which will be released on a three-disc Blu-ray with Digital HD Ultraviolet and DVD set on February 4th.
