In anticipation for the upcoming musical adaptation of Les Miserables, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing the 1998 theatrical version of the classic story onto Blu-ray for the first time on December 11th. It has been many years since I have seen this version of the story, which was done as an adaptation of the novel by Victor Hugo, as opposed to a musical, but I do remember enjoying it quite a bit. It stars Liam Neeson as Jean Valjean, Geoffrey Rush as Javert, Uma Thurman as Fantine, and Claire Danes as Cosette and from what I recall, was a great-looking movie for sure. I will be very curious to see how this movie compares now, so read on to learn more about this upcoming Blu-ray release. Premium Rush was a somewhat surprising film to come out of the summer. Sure, it looked like it could be silly fun, but the movie was actually a lot more fun and exciting than it’s late August release date lead me to believe (Review). So with that said, on December 21st, people will get the chance to see this film on Blu-ray and DVD. It is a fast-paced action flick, centered around a cat and mouse chase between a bike messenger (Joseph Gordan-Levitt) and a corrupt cop (Michael Shannon). It is a fun film for sure and manages to have just the right tone for a movie of its type. To find out more about this upcoming release, read the full press release below. I’m sure plenty of people are looking forward to this one. A new film that once again brings together Johnny Depp, director Gore Verbinski, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer into an all new action/adventure film. Well now the trailer for The Lone Ranger has arrived and it looks to be all sorts of fun. Packed with fun western-style adventure and plenty of Depp zaniness. As long as this doesn’t turn into another Wild Wild West, I think this could be another fun adventure that brings an old property to life in an all new way. Continue on to see the debut trailer for The Lone Ranger, along with the poster and a few new images. Continue reading ‘Hi Ho Silver! The Lone Ranger Trailer Debuts’
