Well, the plan to release this teaser during ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. did not pan out the way it was intended, but regardless, here it is, the first full length teaser trailer for the upcoming Marvel epic, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Those who attended Comic Con will recognize some similarities to the footage presented there, but the biggest change is the increase in visual effects and the lack of any humor. This is a trailer that wants to show the darker tone that will come from the presence of Ultron and it is pretty exciting to see. The film hits theaters May 2015 and is easily one of the most anticipated films of next year. Continue on to check out the trailer and the new poster for the film.

The US official teaser trailer for TOMORROWLAND directed by Brad Bird and starring George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy and Hugh Laurie, which just debuted at New York Comic Con, is now available. That is a sentence that thrills me, as Disney may have been able to present a panel about this upcoming feature at NYCC, but I am very happy to at least see footage from the actual film. Appropriately cryptic, but filled with ideas and a way to pique the interests of many, this is one of the original films coming next summer that has me very excited. A lot of movement has taken place at Pixar this past year, in terms of when and what movies will be coming out of the animation studio in the future. We may be getting a couple more sequels (to some of their best films), but there are a number of originals coming our way as well. Next summer sees the release of Inside Out, directed by Pete Docter (Up, Monsters Inc.) and he announced this film a while ago, describing it as Pixar’s attempt to put an audience inside of the human mind. Now we have a teaser trailer that announces just such a thing (following a montage of clips from the Pixar films most people already love). We are sure to learn more about this upcoming animated adventure, but continue on to check out the teaser and to see a brief synopsis of the film.

Labor Day aside, I am a big fan of the films from Jason Reitman (Up In The Air, Juno, Young Adult), so I tend to get excited for whatever he has coming our way. Men, Women & Children has me curious. While I feel the film Disconnect handled a similar topic just last year, the idea of watching how technology has altered the social environment continues to be a neat concept that could play into a good feature film, if handled right. A new trailer is now up, so feel free to check it out, along with the film’s synopsis, and admire the poster as well, as I think it is one of the better mainstream theatrical posters from this year.

From executive producer Robert Rodriguez comes the first season of the original El Rey Network series, FROM DUSK TILL DAWN,swooping onto Blu-ray and DVD, featuring all 10 Season One episodes, including episodes directed by Rodriguez and Eduardo Sánchez(The Blair Witch Project). This supernatural series, based on Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s 1996 cult classic film of the same name (starring George Clooney, Harvey Keitel, Salma Hayek and Tarantino), centers on bank robbers Seth and Richie Gecko, who are wanted by the authorities after a heist leaves several dead. Escaping across the Mexican border with a family of hostages, the Gecko brothers take a detour to a strip club that’s populated by bloodsucking creatures of the night. Free Fall feels almost like a reunion to me. After falling in love with the remake of I Spit on Your Grave a few years back I have subsequently fallen for Sarah Butler as a direct byproduct too. So while this movie can either go one of two ways, suck or be decent, I’m willing to gamble a couple hours of my life on it. How about you? Come on horror fans! It has Sarah Butler AND Malcolm McDowell in it! That’s like a two for one deal! So here’s the basics. Today Disney has unveiled their teaser trailer for the upcoming live action film adaptation of the longtime favorite musical Into The Woods! I saw this one long ago back in the 90s and remember it being quite a bit of good fun. So, I’m kind of looking forward to seeing this. It comes from Rob Marshall, who once directed the Academy Award Best Picture Winning Chicago many moons ago. Can you believe it was 9 years ago since we last saw Sin City on the big screen? To be honest with you, I can’t believe that much time has gone by. And now there’s an announcement that possibly a third film has been green lit. All I can do is hope and pray that it doesn’t take another nine years to put it out. Having first made its debut at Comic Con, the first trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is now out and it certainly does the job of making this feel like a conclusion of sorts. While I have not been the biggest fan of these Hobbit movies, I certainly look forward to seeing them and appreciate a lot about them. Now Peter Jackson has come closer to wrapping up his second trilogy and appears to be doing so with a film that feels the most in line with Lord of the Rings yet. Also of note, this week is Amazon having a sale on the original Lord of the Rings for 68% off the original price. Continue on to see the trailer, the new poster, and check to out this deal!

While there may not have been a panel dedicated to The Hunger Games in Hall H at Comic Con this year, there was certainly a Hunger Games presence at Comic Con in general, which was apparently also tied with Best Buy, among other establishments, as The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 debuted the new trailer in various forms (via Samsung tablets in some cases) over the weekend. Now it is available to see online and while it is pretty simple, the little that needs to be done to sell a movie like this is being handled pretty well. Given the presence of Philip Seymour Hoffman, along with new characters played by Julianne Moore and Natalie Dormer, the potential quality is emphasized over revealing info on the plot, which served the previous two films quite well. The film hits this November, continue on to see the trailer.

Confession. I missed out on Neighbors when it hit theaters a couple months ago. Just didn’t work out for me. But, I’m excited as ever to see it when it drops on Blu-ray in a few months. I have heard nothing but positive about it. I was also a member of the fraternity with which they are basing their jokes off of in college, so I’m excited to have some laughs at myself as well. It is only less than a month away. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is the hotly anticipated comic book space adventure, from director James Gunn, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Bradley Cooper & Vin Diesel as the voice of a talking raccoon and tree creature. Marvel thinks this is crazy enough to work and dammit if I (and movie geeks everywhere) are not at least curious as well.
