I have never seen this one before, but I know my fellow WSB staff around here really thought the world of it so paint me curious about The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. And best of all…we don’t have too long to wait for what Fox deems the must-own movie of the year on Blu-ray. It’s no secret. The release date that we are all here to discover within this post has been slated for April 1st. And no…that’s not an April Fools joke either. The highly touted return to form for Disney animation, FROZEN, is making its way to Blu-ray next month on March 18th! I didn’t get a chance to see this one when it hit theaters, but I’m pretty excited to get to see it on the wonderful Blu-ray format. I’ve heard nothing but great things regarding this one and it features one of my favorite performers, Kristen Bell! It’s coming to you with a slew of bonus features and since its Disney I’m sure it will have a fantastic presentation as well. How appropriate they pick April Fools Day for the Blu-ray release date of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, huh? I think so! And I’m also very stoked and excited about this news as try as I might I not only missed the press screening of this comedy last year, but I also misplaced the free movie cash I had for it and ultimately never was able to catch this one theatrically. So I’m looking forward to my first time being on the Blu format! And now…without further ado…Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will be released on Digital HD on March 11th and on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and VOD on April 1st. The three-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack includes three versions of the film, including theSuper-Sized R Rated Version with 763 new jokes, as well as over four hours of bonus features. Yea! Scream Factory is once again releasing a modern horror film. Their first one of 2014 will be Dead Shadows. This one looks to be a sort of extraterrestrial thriller based on the appearance of Halley’s comet that revolves around a guy trying to escape his apartment complex. This one has been a sort of festival darling, developing quite the cult following overseas. Its also to be noted that the film is Scream Factory’s sole title being released in April. And its not coming til the very end of the month at that. What will I do with myself? No worries, their summer is shaping up to be quite amazing, meaning their fall will be mindblowing. I was relieved that Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues turned out to be a lot of fun. I expected a Blu-ray to be packed with deleted, alternate, and extended scenes. That will still likely happen, but now everyone will get a chance to see exactly that, as an alternate cut of the film, dubbed the ‘Super-Sized R-Rated Version’ will be in theaters for one week, starting February 28th. Will this be a must see, hysterical, raunchier cut of Anchorman 2? I have no idea, but who knows, maybe its good or maybe it’s terrible, but superfans will be all over it for sure. You can see for yourself at the end of February, but for now, continue on to see the trailer and a clip form this alternate version of Anchorman 2.

Just a little over a day since the trailer for this summer’s Guardians Of The Galaxy made waves on the internet and they’re already sending us more. After the jump, I’ve been provided with some clips introducing us to our heroes of the film. This is a pretty brilliant movie on Disney and Marvel’s behalf as this is a much lesser known property that they’ve brought to life. Also at the bottom you’ll see what they’re calling the “teaser” poster for the film. Last night stars Aaron Paul, Scott Mescudi, and Director Scott Waugh introduced special advance screenings via live satellite ofNEED FOR SPEED, in 100 theaters across North America. Aaron Paul and Scott Mescudi spoke to fans directly via Twitter chats from the theater in Burbank, CA. Honestly, when this came out theatrically last year, I wanted nothing to do with it really. Then, surprisingly, mostly positive reviews poured in. I kind of felt like it’s a spoof on the Rocky franchise as well as Raging Bull, two legendary boxing sagas, so that’s kind of why I avoided it. But that’s childish, right? I think so. Oh what the hell. I want to give it a chance! It does have two “legendary” actors in the title role. It has to be good, no? Well thankfully, I don’t have too long to find out due to Warner Bros. press announcement today where they announced an April 8th Blu-ray release date for…Grudge Match.
