Award-winning film studio NEON announced today that audiences will soon be able to enjoy Osgood Perkins’ latest trip, THE MONKEY, at home. The film marks NEON’s second collaboration with Perkins, and the studio’s second-largest theatrical opening, trailing only Perkins’ previous film LONGLEGS. To date, THE MONKEY has grossed over $39 million at the U.S. box office, and over $60 million globally, making it the studio’s third highest-grossing film of all time. THE MONKEY will be available on all digital platforms to own or rent starting April 4th, and on 4K UHD Blu-Ray Combo, Blu-Ray, and DVD starting June 24th.

In the fishing village of Aci Trezza, Sicily, the Valastro family dream of a better life. The venture is initially a success but an unexpected shipwreck means the family must soon fend for themselves. Originally commissioned as propaganda by the Communist Party, master filmmaker Luchino Visconti (The Leopard, Death in Venice) used the real villagers of Aci Trezza as his stars to craft a docu-fictional melodrama about the difficulties of rural life post-World War II. La terra trema was nominated for the Golden Lion at the 1948 Venice Film Festival and is considered one of the finest examples of Italian neorealist cinema. STARMAN is a story of romance and adventure, as an alien (Jeff Bridges) observing life on Earth becomes stranded near the Wisconsin farmhouse of recently widowed Jenny Hayden (Karen Allen). The alien, otherwise known as Starman, clones the human form of Scott Hayden, Jenny’s deceased husband. Due to be picked up by his mother ship in three days at Meteor Crater, Arizona, Starman is in dire need of human assistance. Thus Jenny becomes an unwilling participant in a trip that becomes a dangerous flight across the U.S. as the two are pursued by the U.S. Army and secretly aided by a government agent (Charles Martin Smith). Over the three-day journey, however, a strange and wonderful relationship develops between a confused human woman and a curious and determined alien, leading to a climactic rendezvous with Starman’s mother ship.
