Four weeks to go until we see the first of the three planned Star Wars “spinoff” films, Rogue One. This film about the band of Rebels and spies that steal the plans to the Death Star, kicking into motion the original film, is the kind of spinoff I’m more eager to see from these than younger versions of characters’ we’ve spent many films with origin stories (Though I must say, the Han Solo film is doing and saying all the right thing and seems to be having all the right people). This one features some good footage and behind the scenes, and while being a bit of a softball, still manages to get me really pumped for the film. This is a film that has a lot of questions as what its going to be like. For instance…how does the film open? An opening crawl? They’ve said there’s probably not one. So, then how? These and more questions will be answered on December 16th (But, lets not be silly, we are all going to see it on the 15th). Coming hot off the heels of its debut on Good Morning America, its the latest (And final?) trailer for the first Star Wars spin-off film, ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY. This one gives us a bit of a different vibe as well as some more background on Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso. We also get to see some Mads Mikkelsen in action. Once again, this movie looks pretty terrific and like everyone, I’m excited for it to be December already! Two brand new Star Wars movies in two years! That would have been crazy talk back when I was a little padawan. ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY will hit theaters on December 16th! In addition to the superhero spectacular, last Saturday Warner Bros. also gave Hall H audiences a taste of magic. Muggles were treated to the trailer for the next J.K. Rowling adventure, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Set in New York during the 1920’s, the trailer definitely shows the glamour and intrigue of a good mystery during the era. With David Yates directing, I’m sure the film will live up to the expectation of adventure and fun Harry Potter fans are longing for.

That’s just one of the things Marvel and Netflix showed off at Comic-Con however, as there was also a first look at Iron Fist, as well as a teaser for The Defenders, which will combine all of these Marvel heroes from Netflix series into one team-up series. Okay! So like I needed a third reason! While I’m holding up the home front here in Austin, TX while my peers are living it up at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 today in Hall H, videos like this that Warner Bros. just released online make it a good time to be alive. After all, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is my favorite film of the year so far as indicated here and here. So why the heck shouldn’t I be happy with our new Comic-Con Hall H look at the Suicide Squad Official Comic-Con Soundtrack Remix trailer? That’s a rhetorical question. I’m flippin’ ecstatic! Every team needs a group of meta-humans and criminals to pull it off when ordinary mortals can’t. Excuse me while I go change my pants for the third time now. Ha ha!!!
