SDCC 2016 – The Walking Dead

walkingdeadtrailerThe second of two Comic-Con Hall H panels focused on The Walking Dead universe tool place on Friday, following what fans saw at the Fear the Walking Dead panel. Of course, many were far more excited about getting a look at the upcoming season of The Walking Dead, with the continuation of the Negan storyline, the introduction of The Kingdom and King Ezekiel, and of course a foll0w-up to who was killed by Negan’s barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat at the end of last season. The cast and crew were on hand, despite being very secretive about the upcoming season, but the first trailer for season 7 certainly set things up right.

New Suicide Squad “Blitz” Trailer!

Suicide Squad TNI have to admit, I wasn’t the biggest fan of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad when it was announced and especially after seeing stills of the Killer Croc or whatever his name is.  However, everything started to shift emotionally within me when the first trailer dropped.  Then came the next and so on and they just get better.  Despite not being a huge Margot Robbie fan, she actually has me excited for his portrayal of Harley Quinn.  In fact, the only one who has me nervous now is Jared Leto’s performance of my beloved Joker.  He just doesn’t look right, but all will be forgiven when this film rocks my world in August, right?  Absolutely! The SUICIDE SQUAD Trailer Has Dropped!

Harley Quinn THUMBI have to admit I may have been losing faith in the DC side of comic book movies. Don’t get me wrong, the Dark Knight trilogy was fantastic, but it ended, and what else was inspiring? Not Green Lantern. Not Man of Steel. So there I was wishing for DC to get in the game, to hit us with some of that freaking fantastic material we all know is sitting in their vaults, when this little beauty of a trailer drops.  Click on or scroll down to check it out!

Start Trek: Beyond Teaser Trailer

Star Trek: Beyond Teaser TrailerHoo doggie!  If you’re lookin’ for fast paced, non-stop action, then you’ve come to the right place!  The trailer for Star Trek: Beyond, the third installment to the rebooted Star Trek franchise, has arrived and it’s not holding back any punches.  I really dug the direction they took with the first two films.  It seemed like the main goal when rebooting Gene Roddenberry’s vision was to amp up the action, but still try to maintain the strong character relationships that define both the movies and TV series.  This is a teaser in the purest sense of the word in that they don’t really tell us much about the story but rather they just throw you into a blender of explosions, laser beams, and people running for their lives!  It seems like director Justin Linn (“The Fast and the Furious” franchise) is well aware of the monumental action films that’ll be coming out next year, so he’s putting his best foot forward. TMNT: Out of the Shadows (Trailer Review)

TMNT: Out of the Shadows (Trailer Review)Ok, so here we go.  Once again Michael Bay has somehow gotten his hands on another one of our favorite 80’s cartoons.  Chalk o’block full of the usual “Bayism’s”;  You got your massive exploding vehicles that look like fireworks for some reason, hulking CGI characters, and of course the scantily clad ladies.  I saw the first Turtles movie that came out a couple years ago and I gotta say, aside from it being a little Megan Fox heavy, I really liked it!  As a life long Turtles fan I was thrilled to see these characters back to goof around with each other.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Final Trailer From Halftime Of Monday Night Football Is HERE!

Star Wars The Force AwakensWell, Eli Manning and Sam Bradford are making halftime adjustments, but I’d like to think both rushed through the tunnel and asked someone to get the halftime show on because something more important than the game they were playing was happening!  YES!  Our newest look at The Force Awakens is upon us!  Hopefully this trailer can make your Fandango woes go away for a short time.  Or maybe it made them worse, I dunno.  That crash is just INSANE, if you ask me.  The hype for the film and Star Wars fandom is soooo HUGE right now.  We at Why So Blu are excited to bring you this last (Hopefully, I’m actually a fan of the “mystery box” with this movie.) trailer for the film.  Will this be the Star Wars film we’ve all been waiting for?  Is the hype bigger, less or similar to The Phantom Menace back in the late 90s?  It feels massive, but I think time has made us forget just how excited we were waiting on a film that delivered us pod racing, Jar Jar Binks, Yippee, confusing politics and performances made of sycamores.  Maybe I’m a blind optimist, but I just feel like this one is going to deliver.  Its in my gut.  But, I’m not as hard on Star Wars shortcomings as others (I feel my childhood virginity is still intact).  For now, we have this hype, we have this new hope and we have this new trailer!  Good luck with your ticket purchases!
