No Strings Hold Down This Trailer For Marvel’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Avg2_Teaser_1-Sht_v3_lgWell, the plan to release this teaser during ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. did not pan out the way it was intended, but regardless, here it is, the first full length teaser trailer for the upcoming Marvel epic, Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Those who attended Comic Con will recognize some similarities to the footage presented there, but the biggest change is the increase in visual effects and the lack of any humor.  This is a trailer that wants to show the darker tone that will come from the presence of Ultron and it is pretty exciting to see.  The film hits theaters May 2015 and is easily one of the most anticipated films of next year.  Continue on to check out the trailer and the new poster for the film.

Dolphin Tale 2 Comes To Blu-ray This December!

1000446491BRDFLTO_3d2500d0I cannot say this is a film that has me super excited, but at the same time, I am sure it is probably pretty good.  I reviewed the first Dolphin Tale on Blu-ray and found it to be fine.  Everything I have heard about this sequel suggests the same, plus I still get Morgan Freeman, so it seems like a win.  Dolphin Tale 2 is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on December 9th and it has a bunch of special features coming with it.  This is another chapter in a story surrounding the true story of a dolphin who was rescued thanks to the work by people who care and some technological ingenuity.  I have seen the trailer for this sequel and it certainly gives me some interesting thoughts on how it will turn out, but I will find out soon enough what is going on, when this Blu-ray becomes available, as will everyone that missed out on this top family film in theaters.  Continue on to learn more about this upcoming release.

This short list is made up of my favorite horror films that I like to watch during the Halloween holiday season. A slice of pumpkin pie and nice pumpkin craft ale and a nice horror movie hits the spot perfectly. This obviously isn’t a comprehensive but just a tasty sampler of films that are relatively short in running time but hit you right in your fear spot. In any event sit back and enjoy my Top-3 Halloween Horror Treats!

Clive Barker’s LORD OF ILLUSIONS 2-Disc Collector’s Edition Comes To Blu-ray Dec 18!

Lord-Of-IllusionsI remember this movie being a pretty big deal in the horror community leading up to its release.  I had two particular factors leading my interest into it; Clive Barker and Scott Bakula.  As a huge Quantum Leap fan, and the fact that he wasn’t in a whole lot of movies, meant I just had to see it.  And around this time, if a movie had Clive Barker’s name anywhere on its credits it was a must see.  Unfortunately, I don’t remember being too impacted by the film once I saw it, and have not revisited it since probably a VHS rental back in the 90s.   So foggy my memory that I didn’t remember Famke Janssen as the love interest in the movie.  This release is also awesome because it contains both the theatrical version and Director’s Cut of the film.  Anyway, I’m excited to go back to it now in Scream Factory’s upcoming Collector’s Edition as I’ll get a likely stellar transfer of the film as well as some groovy extras to discuss it.  Continue reading ‘Clive Barker’s LORD OF ILLUSIONS 2-Disc Collector’s Edition Comes To Blu-ray Dec 18!’
