SDCC 2016 – Supergirl, Flash, and Arrow Set Costumes!

Shohan Comic-Con 2016 generic 160x160As a I perusing the Comic Con floor and happened across the set costumes from Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow!  The CW is really crushing when it comes to their super-hero shows!  I’ve never really been a fan Flash when it came to the comics.  But after watching this series which starts the magnificent Grant Gustin, I have officially become a true believer and devote follower of “The Speed Force”!  The fact that they’ve even ATTEMPTED to make a show that focuses on Green Arrow is something that should be applauded in and of itself.  He’s basically Batman with a bow and arrow. SDCC 2016 – The Walking Dead

walkingdeadtrailerThe second of two Comic-Con Hall H panels focused on The Walking Dead universe tool place on Friday, following what fans saw at the Fear the Walking Dead panel. Of course, many were far more excited about getting a look at the upcoming season of The Walking Dead, with the continuation of the Negan storyline, the introduction of The Kingdom and King Ezekiel, and of course a foll0w-up to who was killed by Negan’s barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat at the end of last season. The cast and crew were on hand, despite being very secretive about the upcoming season, but the first trailer for season 7 certainly set things up right.

SDCC 2016 – Dreamworks’ “Trolls” Panel!

San Diego Comic Con 2016Chris Hardwick hosts DreamworksTrolls Panel featuring directors Mike Mitchel and Walt Dorn and the stars of the film Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake. You might remember the directors from their work on the Shrek films. They explain how they took on the responsibility of creating the world and origin of the Trolls. A task that they were all too delighted to take on. Based on the two clips they showed, you can tell that this isn’t just a studio’s attempt to cash in on a popular toy of the past. That they wanted to make a real honest to goodness story. And as cliched as it sounds, this really is the kind of movie that both kids AND adults can have fun with. It has plenty of action and adventure for the kids plus the comedy is deftly written that it actually had me laughing in way I usually reserve for movie Judd Apatow movies!

TMNT Don Vs Raph (Comic-Con 2016)

maxresdefaultJhonen Vasquez directed a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles short and if you haven’t seen it your missing out on perhaps the funniest six minutes of animation I’ve seen in a long time. I’m really hoping this will evolve into something beyond a single short but for now this is the best Invader Zim fans could hope for. Continue reading ‘TMNT Don Vs Raph (Comic-Con 2016)’

SDCC 2016: Battle Worn Sphero BB-8

Comic-Con LogoWho knew the Sphero remote control BB-8 could get any better? It still is controlled by the smartphone app, but it now has the look of battle to it. The days of happiness are over for our friend. His exterior isn’t as polished as it once was. Oh yes, he has some stories to tell. He’s seen sights that are so horrible he can’t even get all the beeps out. It’s okay though, cause he’s still adorable. Who cares that he’s emotionally scarred?!?
