Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Announces Four Holiday Classics Coming To 4K UHD
Four classic and beloved holiday family films – National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Elf, and The Polar Express – will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital on 11/1/22, it was announced today by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Packs will include an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc with each feature film in 4K with HDR, a Blu-ray disc with the feature films and pre-existing special features, and a Digital version of the feature films. Ultra HD Blu-ray showcases 4K resolution with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and a wider color spectrum, offering consumers brighter, deeper, more lifelike colors for a home entertainment viewing experience like never before. For the complete 4K Ultra HD experience with HDR, a 4K Ultra HD TV with HDR, an Ultra HD Blu-ray player and a high-speed HDMI (category 2) cable are required. Continue reading ‘Warner Bros. Namor: Conquered Shores recently mades its debut in comic book stores and has been receiving solid reviews across the board. Written by Christopher Cantwell, the writer/director takes us 100 years into the future when much of the earth’s surface is a scalded wasteland while Atlantis prospers below the waves. Cantwell is joined by artist Pasqual Ferry who offers page after page of descriptive visuals in what will be a five-issue mini-series.

Experience an audacious, twisted and visually stunning psychological thriller, when Don’t Worry Darling arrives for Premium Digital Ownership at home on October 25. The film is directed by Olivia Wilde from a screenplay by Katie Silberman, based on a story by Carey Van Dyke & Shane Van Dyke and Silberman and stars Florence Pugh (Oscar-nominated for “Little Women”), Harry Styles (“Dunkirk”), Wilde (upcoming “Babylon”), Gemma Chan (“Crazy Rich Asians”), KiKi Layne (“The Old Guard”) and Chris Pine (“All the Old Knives”). The film will also be available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD beginning on November 29.

Despite opening to solid reviews, Beast couldn’t go beast-mode at the box office. A decent take wasn’t enough to cover budget, but perhaps the well-liked Idris Elba film can find a life and following in the post-theater afterlife of streaming, digital and physical media. Speaking of physical media, the film was released on Blu-ray on October 11th. The release features a 7.1 surround track and is loaded with a nice array of extras. You’ll also get the DVD version and a digital copy included. Nope was probably my most anticipated movie of summer 2022 at the theaters. Something original from one of our best director’s that’s just sort of still even getting off the ground in terms of building a catalog. If Jordan Peele has a film out, you’re there opening weekend. Pretty easy. And his latest, Nope, continued to prove he’s a sellable commodity all on his own in a sea of franchises, remakes and IP. The latest opus of his arrives on 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray just in time for Halloween on October 25th. It’ll feature shifting IMAX aspect rations as well as an Atmos track to best replicate his intended look and feel at home. There is also a nice handful of bonus features stocked on there as well.
