Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney, Cameron Diaz and Rupert Everett star in MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING, a high-spirited romantic comedy that serves up something wild, something new, something touching and something truly hilarious. Roberts dazzles as commitment-shy Jules Potter, who reluctantly realizes she is in love with her best friend Michael (Mulroney). There is just one catch: he’s about to marry someone else. Comically crazed and full of devious plans, Jules will do anything to steal him back… except tell him the simple truth.

Created and written by H.S. Tak, author of the novel Red Shift, the writer describes Hitomi, Image’s latest release, “In feudal era Japan, a drifter with no prospects begins training in secret under Yasuke, a disgraced, once-feared warrior, as she struggles to find her place in a society entrenched in discrimination and violence.” With this debut issue titled ‘Ghost’, readers will soon learn the violent memory she pursues.

Despite opening to solid reviews, Beast couldn’t go beast-mode at the box office. A decent take wasn’t enough to cover budget, but perhaps the well-liked Idris Elba film can find a life and following in the post-theater afterlife of streaming, digital and physical media. Speaking of physical media, the film was released on Blu-ray on October 11th. The release features a 7.1 surround track and is loaded with a nice array of extras. You’ll also get the DVD version and a digital copy included. If you need to pick it up or are curious after this review, don’t hesitate to click the paid Amazon Associates review that shows up once you scroll down to the bottom after the Summary section.

Nope was probably my most anticipated movie of summer 2022 at the theaters. Something original from one of our best director’s that’s just sort of still even getting off the ground in terms of building a catalog. If Jordan Peele has a film out, you’re there opening weekend. Pretty easy. And his latest, Nope, continued to prove he’s a sellable commodity all on his own in a sea of franchises, remakes and IP. The latest opus of his arrives on 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray just in time for Halloween on October 25th. It’ll feature shifting IMAX aspect rations as well as an Atmos track to best replicate his intended look and feel at home. There is also a nice handful of bonus features stocked on there as well. To pre-order Jordan Peele’s Nope on 4K Ultra-HD, scroll down to the bottom of this review and click the paid Amazon Associates link.

Hot on the heels of the Mortal Kombat: Snow Blind film, Warner Bros. Animation wasted no time in releasing Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, the latest addition to the DC animated library. The 79-minute film takes place during the relatively currently comic series from DC where Bruce Wayne has fathered Damian Wayne while Clark Kent and Lois Lane are happy parents to an adolescent Johnathan Kent. With one of the young lads rebellious and the other about to discover his powers, their abilities will be called upon to save the world.
